Humpback Whale Watching
For obvious reasons, we have to start off by letting you know that now is a great time for whale watching! Humpback season in Morro Bay usually spans from May to late November/December, so there’s a good chance you’ll see these fascinating creatures if you head out on an upcoming whale watching trip. We love whale watching all year long, but there’s nothing quite like seeing humpbacks in the wild!
Art in the Park
Labor Day weekend is just around the corner, and Art in the Park is happening at Morro Bay City Park on September 5th-7th. Spend the long weekend soaking in the sunshine and checking out local art - maybe you’ll find a new piece for your home!
Tunes at Tidelands
Every Thursday in September, enjoy a free concert hosted by the Morro Bay Active Adults…55+at Tidelands Park on the Embarcadero. With a different band playing and a new food truck to try each week, this is a great way to carry the energy of summer through September. Avocado Margarita Festival
Morro Bay’s beloved Avocado Margarita Festival is back! On Saturday, September 12th, you can enjoy live music, food, and drinks on the Embarcadero.This is a family-friendly event that is sure to be a lot of fun. Visit the event website for tickets and more information.

Pelagic Excursion with Morro Bay Whale Watching
We’re hosting another Pelagic Excursion on Sunday, September 27th. This 8-hour trip will take guests beyond the continental shelf, offering increased opportunity for sightings of blue whales, fin whales, pelagic seabirds, and more. The last few trips have sold out, so be sure to secure your spot ASAP.
Witches and Warlock’s Paddle
On Saturday, October 24th, kayakers and paddle boarders will flock the bay dressed up in witchy costumes - and you can be a part of the fun! Bring your own vessel, or rent one from us at 699 Embarcadero. This event is a great way to enjoy the great autumn weather Morro Bay has to offer while celebrating the spooky season. Morro Bay Triathlon
The annual Morro Bay Triathlon is back and happening on Sunday, November 1st. You can get in on the fun and join the athletes (sign-ups are now open), or opt to watch the races from the sidelines! This year, there’s even a new 5k event happening! You can learn more at the event website.
